Undated Broadcasts Project — Cecil and Sally Autumn 1930 Arc
Continuing our chronological resolution across the 1928–1933 syndicated daily comedy serial Cecil and Sally (starring Johnny Patrick and Helen Troy), This update resolves an additional 50 sequential broadcasts (Sequences 588 through 637, representing Episodes 231 through 280).
Airing daily on San Francisco's KPO/KYA and distributed across North America via electrical transcription discs between October 1 and November 27, 1930, this run covers two of the series' most memorable extended storylines:
- The Miss Tucker Love Letter Scandal: Cecil ghostwrites a flowery romantic poem on behalf of Uncle Thomas to win back Aunt Bess, only for Sally to mistakenly address and mail it to Miss Tucker down the street. The panic escalates as Cecil and Sally attempt to sneak onto Miss Tucker's porch to retrieve it from the mailbox before the neighborhood gossip begins.
- The Amateur Motion Picture Production: Cecil writes a melodramatic western screenplay, casts Uncle Thomas as the villain, borrows a neighbor's cow, and attempts to direct. The production falls into hilarious ruin when Nero the dog attacks the cow, the cow chases Cecil up an apple tree, and their simulated campfire special effects accidentally ignite Uncle Thomas' garage.
Reaching 1,639 broadcasts resolved in the master project ledger, each entry features verified daily airdates, standardized comedy taxonomy, and pure narrative synopses.
