Undated Broadcasts Project — Cecil and Sally Winter 1931–1932 Golden Climax

Reaching 1,989 broadcasts resolved across 40 completed cohorts, This update resolves an additional 50 sequential broadcasts (Sequences 938 through 987, representing Episodes 581 through 630) of the iconic daily comedy serial Cecil and Sally (starring Johnny Patrick and Helen Troy).

Airing daily between November 13, 1931 and January 9, 1932, this dramatic sequence brings multiple long-running romantic and financial subplots to an exhilarating, heartwarming resolution:

• The Alexander Rivalry Peak: Wealthy rival Alexander advises Sally to dump Cecil, prompting Cecil to go on a retaliatory date with Sybil and walk her ribbon-tied lapdog down the avenue. The rivalry peaks when Alexander tries to kiss Sally, only for Sugarpie the terrier to chase Alexander up an elm tree.
• The Unlicensed Parking Lot Fiasco: Alexander cons Cecil into running a downtown open-air gravel parking lot, resulting in municipal inspectors slapping Cecil with a steep business license fine until Cecil corners Alexander into paying half.
• The Threat of Foreclosure and Departure: Uncle Thomas faces devastating financial bankruptcy, and Sally prepares to move away to live with distant relatives. Cecil helps her pack her steamer trunks and presents her with a goodbye hat as the two share an emotional farewell on the parlor porch.
• The Nevada Gold Strike: Just as hope seems lost, a Western Union telegram arrives! Rough-and-tumble Butch Williams strikes a rich gold vein in Nevada, rushes home with bags of gold to save the store, and reveals he has married a new bride—shattering Mrs. Mason's schemes once and for all.

Every broadcast in this update features verified daily broadcast airdates, standardized comedy taxonomy, and pure narrative synopses.
