Undated Broadcasts Identified: Cecil and Sally

Undated Broadcasts Project — Cecil and Sally Spring 1931 Arc

Continuing our chronological resolution across the 1928–1933 syndicated daily comedy serial Cecil and Sally (starring Johnny Patrick and Helen Troy), This update resolves an additional 50 sequential broadcasts (Sequences 738 through 787, representing Episodes 381 through 430).

Covering the March 25 through May 21, 1931 daily broadcast schedule on KPO/KYA and electrical transcription disc syndication, this sequence centres on one of the program's most celebrated comedic domestic conflicts:

• The Widow Mason Entanglement: Sally becomes convinced that neighborhood widow Mrs. Mason is scheming to marry Uncle Thomas for his grocery store savings. Sally and Cecil launch a full surveillance operation: peering through Mrs. Mason's parlor curtains, snapping secret photos with a box camera, and attempting to recruit estranged Aunt Bess to charm Uncle Thomas back.
• The Kitchen Bowl Haircut: Sally convinces Cecil to spend his fifty-cent barber money on chocolates, insisting she can trim his hair just as neatly with kitchen shears and a mixing bowl—leaving Cecil with a jagged, uneven mop.
• The Fake Chickenpox Quarantine: To block Mrs. Mason from attending an intimate dinner with Uncle Thomas and Aunt Bess, Sally paints a quarantine sign on the front door and claims Cecil has contracted chickenpox, only for the scheme to backfire when Aunt Bess refuses to enter as well.
• The Stolen Rent Scam: Mrs. Mason feigns financial desperation over her rent payments, cleverly wringing money from a sympathetic Uncle Thomas while Cecil and Sally watch her scheme unfold.

Reaching 1,789 broadcasts resolved in the master project ledger, each entry features verified daily airdates, standardized comedy taxonomy, and pure narrative synopses.
